Questions people actually ask

How much does it cost?
Every service is $80/hour USD. There are no retainers, no project minimums, and no separate rates for "strategy" versus "hands-on" work. All time is billed, including meetings, and you get a clear estimate before any work starts. If you want predictable spend, we can agree a monthly hour cap up front.
Who do you work with?
Small and mid-sized businesses without a large internal IT department, internal IT teams that need senior help for a specific project, and managed service providers (MSPs and MSSPs), who remain a featured part of my work. Services are delivered remotely across the United States.
Do you only advise, or do you do the work too?
Both. Some clients want a roadmap or an assessment their own team can act on. Others want me to do the implementation. Plenty want a bit of each. It is the same rate either way, and everything I deliver is documented so you are never dependent on me.
How quickly can you start?
Discovery calls can usually be scheduled within 1–3 business days. Most work starts within a week of agreeing scope. If something is urgent, like a stalled migration or a security concern, tell me and I will do my best to accommodate it.
What will I actually get at the end?
Something you can use: an assessment report with prioritized findings, a migration runbook, a technology roadmap and budget, a vendor comparison, working scripts, or a completed project with documentation. The deliverable is agreed before work starts.
Do you sign NDAs?
Yes. NDAs are standard. Client data, infrastructure details, and business information are handled confidentially, and what I learn working with one client is never shared with another.
Do you resell hardware, software, or licenses?
No. I am vendor-neutral and take no referral fees or resale margin, so recommendations are based only on what fits your situation.
