It’s Metal Monday again everyone! If you have not seen this series before, every Monday I will be sharing a metal track that I believe resonates with our individual professional journeys and to help those of us who struggle to get going on Monday mornings. (Plus, I get to share some of my favorite metal music with you all!)

I normally write it during the day Sunday, but the rain and clouds cleared up a bit here in Buffalo today so I had some windows open and did some spring cleaning most of the day. So, I’m going to be very honest with you, I started writing this post at 10pm Sunday night. Before my fiance went to bed, I asked them to come up with 3 topics to pick for my Metal Monday post. These are the topics they picked: Steadfastness, Diligence, and Passion.

I tried a new format last week, and I really like how it works out for writing and reading, so we’re sticking with it. As soon as I knew the topics I decided it would be a Killswitch Engage song and almost went with “Strength Of The Mind”, but “In Due Time” won out. I listened to the song again while reading the lyrics, then went to work on writing how the lyrics would relate to our topics.
